Tired of Road bumps which increase fuel consumption & damages the car even at slow speeds.

Here is the Solution by Designers Jae-yun Kim & Jong-Su Lee.
No more of this silly giant bumps in the road when we could advance!

To overcome the problem they make a speed bump that’s based on retractors that open if the impact with them is small enough. These speed bumps can be configured so that if a car is going below 30km/h, the speed bump flattens; over 30km/h, the force causes the re tractor to stay closed, keeping the speed bump active.

It helps encouraging drivers to retain a constant slow speed, eventually it will reduce the amount of stops and starts made, and thus, the amount of exhaust waste from the car & fuel consumption. It is hoped that this retractable speed hump would therefore have positive effects on energy consumption and pollution.

With the this all new water powered calculator now you can say goodbye to those batteries and go green. Completely works like a normal calculator but the power lies in the water, instead of being powered by regular batteries or solar power it uses H2O water. Just by Simply removing the two tubes hidden in the back and filling them up under the tap water. Doing this once will keep the battery alive & working for at least 60 days. Completely Green as you are using water power & its recyclable.

I would like to thank one of our reader lvs for introducing me to a very different form of saving energy.

Blackle is a search engine that saves energy by using a black screen. Blackle is an initiative of Heap Media.

Blackle saves energy because the screen is predominantly black. “Image displayed is primarily a function of the user’s color settings and desktop graphics, as well as the color and size of open application windows; a given monitor requires more power to display a white (or light) screen than a black (or dark) screen.”

I would really recommend blackle as it help us taking these small steps which really adds up to save energy and our dear planet.

Saving Energy helps you save money too. A few brilliant ideas that can help you save energy & a fortune too.

Install energy savers which help you in saving energy when your older bulbs burn out.

Clothes should be washed in cold water whenever possible. Almost 85 percent of the energy used to machine-wash clothes goes to heating the water.

Use a clothesline or a drying rack for saving energy otherwise used during machine drying. If you must use a dryer, adding dryer balls helps to cut drying time.

Setting thermostat lower in the winter and a higher in the summer to save on heating and cooling costs.

Appliances must be plugged off when you’re not using them. You can also use a “smart” power strip that senses when appliances are off and cuts the energy use thus saving energy.
